What if Tomorrow never Comes?

Was that consolation ? Momma said Dany would be all right. Momma wants Him to pass little Dany's sickness to her. Momma said she would suffer anything for her little boy. Was that it ?

Little Dany was confused. He spend all day in the bed, because Doctor told him so. He knew it was only fever, but he thought he would die. Was that it ?

If He passed my sickness to Mommy, mommy would be sick. No that shouldn't. If Mommy is sick, who will cook for Dad ? That would make complications. Wouldn't it ?

If I died, Dad wouldn't be alone because he had Mom. Mom wouldn't be alone because she had cheeky Tony and Dad. Isn't that it ?

Little Dany was all perplexed with little big things in his wide little mind. That was it.

I ll go if he calls. I haven't begun with anything. I am just beginning. Oh yes, I have begun to read Tom Sawyer. But that is okay, it doesn't make a difference. Its a little book, I ll ask Him if I can carry these with me. It's thin isn't it ?

People die old. Thats not right. Dany never thought that was right. People are born young. That's not balanced at all. People should be born old. Dany wasn't sure how his mom could carry big old Boys in her little womb. But that has to be it. People should be born big and begin to do big things. People shouldn't be born crying and be nibbled. People should begin with C-suites like his Dad. People should be born as barristers like Mom. That was to be it. It isn't how, it is to be that, Isn't it Dany ?
People should be born old because what if He called them young like he was to do to Dany! That is not awful because all that Dany could begin was to start reading a Tom Sawyer.

Does He not know that people shouldn't be called just like that ? People who have begun with things here shouldn't be called because if they are called who is got to be knowing what they were doing ? That was right because Dany began reading a book and only Dany knows that he stopped at the 14th page, second stanza, Seventh line, fourth word that ends "...that is it." If he called Him now, Dad and Mommy and Tony wouldn't know that. How would they continue reading? It was okay for the book, because Dany would carry it with him when he goes with him, but what for the Little Canopy he was constructing to protect the poor little tadpoles at the Garden Pond? It has been a week. Dad and Mommy and Tony could not continue the project because they would not know the plan.

Hmmmmm.......

That's tough. Maybe he ll ask Him to wait as long as the Canopy was done. After all its Him who wants him and not he Him. So He has to wait. Mom told him once it was manners. Didn't Mom ?

Little Dany was not snoring when Mommy saw him late in the evening. Only people who have a lot of peace in the mind and who are not very inquisitive could snore. At least that is Granny's excuse for Grandpa's snoring.

Little Dany still woke up on the bed to see the Eastern Sun. That was awkward. He hadn't called him ?
Dany continued reading the book at the 14th page, second stanza, eighth line, fourth word that begins, " Now you begin..."

That was it. " Now I begin..." The Canopy had to be done by evening.
" Tony back on bed." That was Mommy. Strawberry milk was nice. "..and until we are back.", Mommy took over the large milk mug.
The car hoot hooot and vrooo.... Fever didn't matter for Dany. After all, who would complete what he had begun?

That was nice at the Garden pond.
The Canopy was fine. Two legs and an arch, large yellow leaves from the backyard. All was in line, except for two more legs and few more leaves. All was fine, except for the tadpoles. Where were they ?
Had He carried them away? Or did they go for a vacation ? That was what lady Magorium says in the kindergarten when children like him never showed up.

Inspection. Invigilation. No sign of Tadpoles. There were just too many frogs. And Dany didn't like the Grey-Green frogs. Do you Dany?


A long, hot, thoughtful afternoon passed.

"Daddy, I want book on tadpoles. "

After all it was daddy who told him they were poor little th-ad-pole-s.

Up came little Dany's first reference.

Me-ta-mor-pho-sis.

That was it. Learning new things were nice. What else would he have to talk with Him if the journey was long. What if He asks him what he learned? Danny always wanted to give answers. Questions should have answers. After all what were questions for? Isn't that right Dany? And so he made it a point to learn.

He never called him the following night too. And not the other. And little Dany kept planning new things each evening and kept completing each thing before He called him the next night. He read more, he saw more, he spoke more, he thought more and finally wrote more before each 'next night'.
He made few friends, but that was all right. Wasn't it? .After all he always kept people close to him. Little Dany taught little Pompsy to say sorry. Little Dany asked miss Mosy to think more. Little Dany asked Doc Dory to care and learn more. That was nice because little Dany was still little. That was it because, what if He called him the following night ?

After all, what if tomorrow never comes ?

That was the tale of little Dany. Each day he kept growing, because he was going with Him that evening.

Now thats the story. Isn't it Dany ?

Today I think he makes it a point to do good and say good; not because He was to board with Him the following evening, but because doing good and saying good have become habits. Good Dany Boy. After all you are going with Him one day, "Arent you Dany ?"
